林梅是一个图书馆员，她很安静，也很认真。上个月，她在家门口种了一颗小种子。她每天早上都去看那颗种子。她很喜欢这个小花园，因为这是她第一个花园，所以她非常用心。

第二天早上，种子又变大了。林梅想：“我每天都看，但是我没有看到它变大。”她明白了，因为她晚上要睡觉，所以她错过了最重要的时候。她决定今晚不睡，她要亲眼看到。
The next morning, the seed had grown bigger again. Lin Mei thought: 'I watch it every day, but I have not seen it grow.' She understood. Because she had to sleep at night, she missed the most important time. She decided she would not sleep tonight. She wanted to see it with her own eyes.
那天晚上，林梅坐在窗边等。快十二点了，她看见邻居王阿姨走过来，拿着一个水壶，轻轻地给种子浇水。林梅很惊讶。她就走出去，小声说：“王阿姨，谢谢你每天帮我浇水！”
That night, Lin Mei sat by the window and waited. It was almost midnight when she saw her neighbor Auntie Wang walk over, carrying a watering can, gently watering the seed. 王阿姨笑着说：“我也很喜欢花园。”虽然林梅想一个人种花园，但是现在她觉得两个人一起更好。从那以后，她们每天早上一起照顾这个小花园，花园越来越漂亮了。
