A contract hinges on one package, one deadline, and a city gridlocked. Can Xiao Ma improvise before noon?
小马unknown岁，在一家公司工作。今天他要送一个重要的包裹，客户说必须十二点前收到，不然合同就没了。他很紧张，一直看手机。
Xiao Ma is thirty-five and works for a company. Today he has to deliver an important package. The client said it must arrive before twelve, or the contract would be lost. He is very nervous and keeps looking at his phone.
他一直看手机，没注意到公共汽车来了。等他抬头，车已经开走了。他看着车开远，叹了一口气：“完了！”
He kept looking at his phone and didn't notice the bus arrive. When he looked up, the bus had already left. He watched it drive away and sighed: “That's it!”
小马打了一辆出租车，跟司机说了地址。可是路上的车越来越多，车几乎走不动。司机说：“今天堵得厉害，要等很久。”小马一看，已经十点半了。
Xiao Ma took a taxi and gave the driver the address. But there were more and more cars on the road, and the taxi could barely move. The driver said: “The traffic is terrible today. It'll be a long wait.” Xiao Ma checked the time: it was already half past ten.
小马付钱下了出租车。路上全是车，一动也不动。他又看了看手机，只剩一个多小时了。他心想：“那怎么办？得想别的办法。”
Xiao Ma paid and got out of the taxi. The road was packed with cars, and none of them moved. He looked at his phone again: only a little over an hour left. He thought: “So what do I do now? I have to find another way.”
就在这时，他看到路边停着好几辆共享单车，眼睛一下子亮了。他已经好几年没骑过车了，可是今天，他马上拿出手机扫码，租了一辆。
Just then he saw several shared bikes parked by the road, and his eyes lit up. He hadn't ridden a bike for several years, but today he took out his phone at once, scanned the code and rented one.
小马背着包裹用力骑，从小路穿过去，避开了堵车的大路。遇到红灯，他就停下来等一会儿，然后马上出发。腿越来越酸，可他不想停。
With the package on his back, Xiao Ma pedalled hard. He cut through the side streets and avoided the jammed main road. At red lights he stopped and waited a moment, then set off again right away. His legs ached more and more, but he didn't want to stop.
十一点unknown分，他终于到了客户公司。他跑上楼，把包裹交给前台。前台说：“刚好来得及！”他靠墙喘气，又累又轻松。
At eleven fifty-eight he finally reached the client's company. He ran upstairs and handed the package to the receptionist. She said: “Just in time!” He leaned against the wall, panting, exhausted and relieved at the same time.
虽然很累，但是没关系，包裹还是送到了。骑车回去的路上，小马明白了：重要的事情不能只准备一个办法，以后他要先想好第二个办法。
Although he was very tired, it didn't matter: the package still arrived. Cycling back, Xiao Ma understood: for important things you can't prepare only one way, and from now on he would work out a second plan in advance.
